FUERTE AVOCADO

Its meat is pale yellow, with a soft and creamy texture and a rich nutty flavour. Its fat content is slightly lower than other varieties. However, the proportion of oleic acid is significantly higher. The Fuerte variety was discovered by Carl Schmidt in 1911 during his trip to Atlixco, Puebla, Mexico.

This variety has an enormous amount of unconditional followers. worth waiting until winter to enjoy this special avocado. Perhaps, what they value (apart from its tasty flavour) is their high content of oleic acid, proportionally higher than in other varieties -between 24% and 26%-. In addition, it has a lower amount of fat than other avocados.
